Whatever Nicktoons censored or changed never bothered me it was my first exposure to the anime and frankly I wouldn't have had it any other way. It changes the scenes mentioned to make them a little less gruesome, but my friends and I still felt the impact of each hit, wound and blow.īesides. Though the 'other dimension' concept was not used in Kai, the death scenes still had to be edited for the Nicktoons release, which is why Piccolos Special Beam Cannon did not go all the way through Goku, and the bloody hole that it would have caused. they still show a hole in Goku's chest after getting hit by Special Beam Cannon and Gohan's broken body after his fight with Recoome. A similar cut was made in the Nicktoons broadcast of Dragon Ball Z Kai during Gokus death. Frankly, I don't understand all the hate Nicktoons Kai gets I mean. Gohan and Krillin fight to survive against Guldo, a member of the Ginyu Force who possesses awesome psychic abilities With Goku still in space and Vegeta their only ally, things look bleak for Earths heroes.
My mother and I watched it on Nicktoons and we're both still huge fans of the series a kid's not really going to care if there's less blood and profanity unless you outright mention it in my experience.
The uncut version of Kai is a lot more epic, it has some profanity as well, though it isn't heavy. If he were to watch dbz kai, he should just wait until his mother thinks he is old enough. As for the thread topic, the nicktoons version of Kai is really no fun IMO.
